Test Anxiety (+how to deal with it)
I've struggled with test anxiety for a while. I talked about my anxiety before: Anxiety Anxiety Anxiety, but test anxiety for me is different. Instead of having a tight chest, I have a sore throat and I start to cry. Mainly it's in math. Math just scares me to death. I have always been kinda below average on math (although my mom swears I'm good at it). I am also homeschooled which means I feel free to cry whenever, which sometimes can be not so good.
I want to share some tips that REALLY helped me:
-Study HARD the night before
-Have A Thing In Your Test Taking Room That You look At (For 10 sec) When Anxious
-Breathe- its so simple yet soooo important
-Try Your Best Not To Cry- I know it's hard not to but I promise it helps
-Get The Easy Ones Done First To Build Your Confidence
-Don't Look At Other People's Progress- take YOUR time
-Don't Keep Checking The Clock
-Let Your Mind Do Its Thing- it knows what to do, so let it do it
-Relax, It's Only One Test
