A Few Quick Tips About School
School, school, school. Oh school. We love it or we hate it. It can be our best friend or our worst enemy. We have to work the system to have our "best" life. It can get hard sometimes. So today, I'm going to give you some quick tips for school that you an apply today.
1. Take Breaks When Needed (Not When Wanted)
Breaks can be soooooo deceptive. We think "oh i'll just take a 10 minute break" and then you don't ever come back. Be resourceful with your time. Take wise breaks with timers, and make a to-do list for each break. Set a timer, go to bathroom, refill water, small snack, little stretch, fresh air.
2. Do one subject at a time
Work on one task at a time. Do NOT multi-task.
3. Stay motivated
Keep a quote where you look the most. Pinterest is your bff. Stay calm and breathe. Crying has become a regular thing for me lately, which can change with a bit of positivity.
4.Stay focused
I used to think music was a given when it came to school. I know it's fun and everything, but we all know that it's one of our biggest distractions. So I made some rules for myself during school hours: no Instagram, no texting, no videos, no blogposts :(, no music, no podcasts. Sometimes I even will take away my baby, doodling. Doodling is THE biggest distraction for me. Maybe set some rules that apply to you and will help you best.
5. Stay clean and organized
It really does help when you have a clean space. Clean space, clear mind. Before you start school, clean your space from clutter and organize your needed supplies.
6.Just DO IT.
I know, I know. I sound like an Adidas ad but for real, do it, right now, just get it done.
I hope these tips help and I can't wait to see you around,
Izabell xx
